Horse(s) name:
Foxholm Rhapsody & Foxholm Valhalla
Our story:
I have been training with Paul for a number of years. Initially Paul helped me with my first real Dressage horse, Foxholm Golden Jade, who we trained from Novice to Medium level.
I am now competing on her six year old daughter, Foxholm Valhalla, who last year qualified for the Winter Regionals Novice Open Freestyle to Music and the Area Festival Finals. She has now also qualified for the Summer Regionals at Novice Open level and is aiming for the Pet plan finals at Elementary Open level.
My other horse, Foxholm Rhapsody, was not initially an easy horse, but with the help of Paul we have taken him from Novice to Advanced Medium level. He has had many successes over the seven years I have had him. Qualifying for Regionals and Area Festival Finals each year throughout the levels. In recent years he has been placed in the Elementary Open Petplan Finals, in the Medium level Freestyle to music at the Winter Regionals and 3rd at the Petplan Finals at Medium level.
This year I have been selected for a training bursary from Look4horses.co.uk. This entails a monthly diary which I update with my training and competition progress throughout the year. With the training I am receiving from Paul I am aiming to compete in top hat and tails by the end of this year.

Our story:
I started training with Paul in 2008 after attending the eastern region BD training. As an ex eventer (who'd turned to dressage when Spider was unable to continue to compete XC after recovering from a serious illness) I needed help!
Although not your conventional dressage horse, Paul helped me & Spider to become competitive & really enjoy our dressage. We have represented Eastern region at the 2009 inter regionals, & qualified & competed at the 2009 area festivals at both Prelim & Novice.
Having now been bitten by the dressage bug, in June 2009 I decided to buy Balou, a 4yo who had just arrived from Germany. We started training with Paul & did our first BD prelims at Hastingwood in October. The photo's show us on our way to winning both classes.
We have continued training over the winter & with Paul's help, the plans for 2010 include starting to compete at novice & the 5yo young horse classes.
My long term goals are to progress through the grades with Balou & hopefully get to wear top hat & tails at PSG.

Our story:
This is us doing our Elementary Freestyle on 1st November 2009, in which we qualified for the regional Dressage to Music, which happens in February 2010
The horse is a mother/daughter share, but my daughter has now completed her GCSE coursework on him, (she's doing sports studies) and does not have the time any more so I have taken the ride full time, she only gets to hack him every couple of weeks or so now, and I do everything else with him!
I am very lucky in that I have an arena at home. We fit our schooling in around my job and the children's needs, sometimes in the dark!
I found Paul in July this year, he has brought us on brilliantly. He sees us once a month at Manor Farm in Huntingdon, plus, in September we spent the weekend at his yard, training for Dressage to Music.
Though I could ride, and the horse was well schooled, before we were just static at Novice level, and
felt as though we were floundering about, blindfolded. Paul seems to have opened a previously hidden door for us! So we have moved up a level and are looking to do that again, now I can see the way forward.

Horse name:
Flammengold Flocke
Our story:
Flammengold Flocke (or Flick as she is known) is a 6 year old Hessen mare who was brought over from Volke Brodhecker's Burghoff stud in Germany when Paul and I visited in 2007. Since then I have been having regular lessons with Paul and this has proved quite successful with her winning her first affiliated class on our first outing and continued success at Novice level; she qualified for the Novice regional finals and the Novice music regional finals and we are now competing at Elementary level and consistently attaining respectable marks.
Paul has also taught me on some of my other rides where I have successfully qualified for the Elementary, Medium and Advanced Medium regional finals.

Sam then got the "Dressage Bug" and stated competing at unaffiliated level then moved up to affiliated at the age of 27!!

Horse name:
Mercurey - 12 Hanoverian by Medoc
Our story:
Paul was recommended to me by a friend who is an Eventer and Equine Physio when I mentioned I was looking for a dressage trainer to help me and my horse Mercurey, as we were having a few problems. I went to watch a demo Paul was giving at Towerlands and approached Paul about teaching me in December 2007 and have continued with Paul since then.
We were competing at affiliated Elementary/Medium level but, although we were doing fairly well, we weren't achieving the results I knew we could. With Paul's help we improved enormously in a very short amount of time. Mercurey is quite complicated and was either very good or very bad at competitions, due to his tendency to become tense.
The bad days have now almost disappeared and we now put in either good or very good performances at competitions and regularly win at Medium level! In the last 2 years we have qualified for the Summer Regional's and Winter Semi-Finals at Elementary and Medium level; qualified for the Pet Plan Finals at Medium level; competed for the Eastern Region in the Senior Team Competition in 2008; and represented England as part of the Eastern Squad at the Senior Home International in 2008 and 2009. We are now working at Advanced Medium and hopefully (with Paul's help) we'll make my goal of Prix St George.
I never thought I would be competing at Medium level and certainly didn't think I'd be riding flying changes! Now PSG is within sight and I have already bought the Top Hat and Tails in readiness.

Coole Contender (Charlie) 6 year old Hannoverian gelding by Contendro
Our story:
I have been training with Paul for three years firstly with my advanced horse Coole Dude and for the last year with Charlie. I have to fit my riding around working as a vet and looking after my family, aswell as running my teenage daughter Emily to shows as she is a keen showjumper. In fact there is often a clash of show dates and we have to draw straws as to whether showjumping or dressage wins.
Paul's help and attention to detail has been invaluable and without his contructive criticism and guidance our achievements to date would have been far less.
I am now looking to starting to compete Charlie at Medium and hopefully with Paul's help will be able to take him up to the higher levels.
